NAIOP Arizona Announces New President and CEO

Posted: 2017-11-7

Memo to all NAIOP Arizona members:

I am pleased to announce that the NAIOP Board of Directors unanimously approved the hiring of Suzanne Kinney as our new President and CEO.  Suzanne will start on Monday, November 6th, and she joins Katrina DeBaker and Danielle Padilla as the third member of our paid staff.

Suzanne has deep experience in public policy with well-established relationships with Arizona business, civic, and elected leaders. Suzanne most recently served as the interim manager for Arizona Mining Association, and previously ran her own public policy consulting firm.  From 2005 – 2013, Suzanne served as the Senior Vice President of Public Policy for the Arizona Chamber of Commerce.  While at the Chamber, Suzanne represented the interests of Arizona business at the state legislature.  Suzanne earned her Bachelor’s degree from Tulane University in New Orleans, and she received a Master’s degree in international relations from the University of Chicago.

Most important to the search committee was finding a leader who was skilled in advocacy, and who would represent all NAIOP members in every aspect of our organization – education, networking, and public policy.  Suzanne is smart, open to new ways of thinking, willing to take risks in a thoughtful manner, and uses a leadership approach that underscores the importance of inclusiveness.  I am confident you will enjoy meeting Suzanne in the coming weeks / months as she gets settled into her new role.  Suzanne can be reached via e-mail at suzanne@naiopaz.org

Special thanks to the leadership of Matt Mooney and Andrew Cheney who served as co-chairs of the Search Committee, and my thanks to the entire committee and board of directors for their time and engagement throughout this process.

Please join me in welcoming Suzanne Kinney as our new President / CEO of NAIOP Arizona!

Best,

Larry Pobuda
